     Have you ever wanted to meet a Famous American?  If so, whom would it be?  Abraham Lincoln? Amelia Earhart? Mark Twain? or Sojourner Truth?  In a quest to learn more about Famous Americans, who have molded our great nation, we will explore their lives and learn about their achievements.

     Your job is to report on a famous American and try to decide what made them famous.  Using templates and the Internet, you will gather information to create a written report.  This report will be completed in class. It will be put onto a body, which will be completed as a home project, to represent your famous American.  Afterwards, you will present an oral report to the class about the person you chose.

     Now that you have taken some time researching and learning about a famous American, that you thought would be interesting, what do you think?  Have you found a new hero?  Was your person everything you thought that he or she would be?  From this project, we hope you have learned many new and exciting things about your assigned famous American.  Maybe this project will spark an interest in other famous Americans, past or present, and you will strive to learn more about the people who have shaped our country as we know it today.
